About me

Hello! I’m Radu and I am a Royal Academy of Engineering Academic Research Fellow at the Advanced Technology Institute (ATI) at Surrey. I received my PhD in Electronic Engineering from Surrey in 2010 and prior to that I studied Computer System Engineering at “Politehnica” University in Bucharest, and designed power-efficient integrated circuits at Catalyst Semiconductor. During my PhD I was the president of the Students’ Union Photographic Society and have recently been involved in public talks at Cheltenham Science Festival and the British Science Festival. I was also Scientific Advisor on the BBC series “Shock and Awe: The Story of Electricity”.
